General Information

  • Resolution: 256 x 192 pixels.

  • Signal: Analog CVBS.

  • Field of View: 50° (horizontal), 37.2° (vertical).

  • Pixel Size: 12 µm.

  • Wavelength Range: 8-14 µm.

  • Operating Temperature Range: -20°C to +60°C.

Operating Modes and Profiles

The modes are switched via a three-position toggle switch and include:

Navigation: Comfortable navigation with lower target detection clarity compared to other modes. Better suited for medium-high humidity, allowing for easier orientation in such conditions.

Hunting: Designed for standard humidity (~60%). Target detection range up to 400 m, identification up to 250 m. Optimal for target search in normal humidity conditions.

Extreme weather: Suitable for target search in high humidity (>70%). Increases contrast for better visibility in humid conditions.

Applications

  • Camera Startup. The camera starts up within 30 seconds. The pilot will see the splash screen after 10 seconds, and the image will appear after a few more seconds.

  • On-Screen Indicators. The bottom-right corner of the screen will display two icons:

1. Shutter work state
the shutter works in automatic mode every 30 seconds
the shutter is turned off
2. Flight controller (FC) connection state
the camera communicates with the flight controller (FC), mode switching is possible
Flight controller (FC) is not connected
  • Mode Switching. Before flight, check the mode switching on the ground.

  • After takeoff. Once cruise altitude is reached, you can try switching modes to choose the most optimal one for the flight conditions.

  • Shutter Warning. Every 30 seconds, the shutter will activate, and the image will freeze for one and a half seconds. This is a normal operation to protect the sensor from overheating and improve the image.

Troubleshooting

  • Camera does not start within a minute:

    • Power on and reconnect the board.

    • Check if the cable is correctly connected to the camera.

    • Ensure all 5 pins are soldered to the flight controller.

  • Image distorts when switching modes:

    • If the image distorts, try switching modes again — the image will stabilize.

    • If the issue persists, this may indicate potential damage to the camera, and it is not recommended to use it.

  • Camera does not work after transferring settings from another drone:

    • The camera needs to be configured separately on the FC. If settings were transferred from another drone without additional setup, the camera will not function properly.

    • You need to complete the camera setup on the flight controller side
