The new generation Kurbas-640a camera continues the Kurbas-640 lineup, inheriting all key features of the previous model and adding a range of new capabilities:

  • control of settings via a controller;

  • image parameter adjustment;

  • shutter control;

  • built-in overvoltage protection.

How it works

On the back panel of the camera, there is a button that activates a Wi-Fi access point. After connecting to it, the settings panel opens in the browser.

The camera operates using MSP protocols and listens to the channels configured via the admin panel.

Controller-based settings control

The AUX interface allows you to adjust camera settings directly from the drone’s remote controller. Commands can be assigned to switches or knobs on the transmitter.

Through AUX you can:

  • switch between three preconfigured profiles;

  • initiate sensor recalibration by closing/opening the shutter;

  • enable or disable 4× digital zoom;

  • adjust contrast;

  • adjust brightness;

  • apply digital detail enhancement.

Image settings

Kurbas-640b allows flexible adjustment of image parameters to meet the needs of a specific task. Three profiles are available, each of which can be configured separately and switched during flight.

Available parameters:

  • brightness;

  • contrast;

  • spatial noise reduction;

  • temporal noise reduction;

  • digital detail enhancement;

  • gamma;

  • digital zoom (up to 8×);

  • color palette selection (for USB connection).

Shutter control

The shutter is a mechanism for automatic sensor calibration that ensures the stability and accuracy of the thermal image by eliminating internal errors (noise, artifacts).

In the Kurbas-640b model, the following features are available:

  • manual shutter on/off control;

  • adjustable automatic shutter activation interval for each profile.

Built-in overvoltage protection

The camera operates on 5 V power. Overvoltage may damage the device, so the Kurbas-640b includes an integrated overvoltage protection system.

If the camera receives more than 5 V, it will not power on, preventing damage. In such a case, the power supply should be checked and the voltage reduced to the acceptable level.
